Land-Escapes

Through an intimate process of transformation, I created a totally imaginary geography. All coming from a single image. Origin of a process of destruction and creation, of a process to understand the way we build and modify our recollections.

This project starts with an image I took on the train in my way to Madrid. The image became an icon, an anchor in a personal process of change, a digitalized landscape observed from my computer.

That process and all the times I relived it altered the recollection, photocopying that image in my mind hundreds of times and then physically. The layers and the endures metaphorizing the transformation and the traces of the change. Exposure times relate the corporeal space with the mental, in an infinite process of transformation.
