FROM THE SYMBOLIC TO THE DIABOLICAL
Painting as Expanding Thought
Painting is approached here as a form of thought rather than representation. The work unfolds through a sustained tension between the analogue and the digital, the organic and the geometric, structure and intuition. Each painting functions as a fragment within a broader system, where colour, material and gesture operate as cognitive tools.
The project originates from a single image — a landscape seen from a moving train — repeatedly reworked until its descriptive function dissolves and it becomes a perceptual matrix. Through repetition, fragmentation and transformation, the image evolves into a way of thinking about time and memory. Meaning is not fixed, but kept in motion, allowing the image itself to continue thinking.
